Cut a Rock materials are cutter output, not floor loot. You break a floor, pick up a rock, warp home, place it, press CUT, then collect. Sell is a second stall. Collect does not auto-cash. Eyesight recaps: uncut rocks can show the materials they might turn into as you buy Sight levels.
| Step | Key | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Pickup | E in the Mine | Rock in Pocket |
| Warp | Q | Home / Plot |
| Load | [E] Place Rock | Cutter queue |
| Cut | CUT | Wait on rarity time |
| Collect | Collect prompt | Materials in inventory |
| Sell | [E] Sell | Cash |
A rock is the tagged object on the floor. A material is what the Cutter yields. Index toasts fire on first materials, not on picking the rock up. If you drop a Unique Uncommon to grab a Common, you never even started that Index row. Keep the words separate so Index ticks match the HUD.
Dated recap: Uncommon on Cutter Level 1 is about 30 seconds; Level 2 is about 6 seconds, with Common near 1 second (Unverified). Slow cuts make every Pocket mistake expensive. Buy Cutter 2 from Uncommon sells before you argue about later-floor labels. Order: upgrades.
Room 1 is the only floor you need for the dated table. Rocks show a rarity tag above them. That tag is the decision, not the colour of the mesh. Nova Prism is listed as a 0.1% Room 1 rock in recaps — treat the payout as TBA until a live sell confirms it.

| Rock | Dated rate | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 85% | Fill leftover Pocket; still cut once for Index |
| Uncommon | 15% | Pick first; funds Cutter 2 and Sakura-tier sells |
| Nova Prism | 0.1% | Always take; payout TBA |
Beginners grab whatever glows. Recaps that farm Room 1 well read the tag at a distance, walk past extra Commons when Pocket is one slot from full, and only then vacuum leftovers so the Cutter is never idle. Eyesight 3 is the dated tool that makes those tags readable sooner.
This wiki does not invent what Nova Prism cuts into. It is a Room 1 rarity with a 0.1% recap rate. Session videos may buy 0.1% rocks from a stall later; that is a spend choice, not a new official material name. Until Duality Works lists the yield, keep Nova Prism on the rock table only.
Public recaps published these Uncommon and Common bundle numbers. They are dated, not live. Re-check the Sell stall before you plan a $31.5K upgrade block around a single Petalstone.
| Name | Rarity | Dated sell |
|---|---|---|
| Petalstone | Uncommon | $5.73K |
| Sakura Cascade | Uncommon | $10.36K |
| Sakura Spirit | Uncommon | $12.46K |
| Seashell | Common | Part of ~$4.88K Common bundle |
| Rust Gear | Common | Part of ~$4.88K Common bundle |
A handful of Sakura-tier sells cover Cutter 2 ($2.5K), Eyesight 3 ($7K), Pocket 3 ($10K), and Iron ($12K) in the dated ~$31.5K recap. Petalstone is the cheaper Uncommon; still worth cutting. Do not skip an Uncommon tag because a Common bundle “almost pays the same” — $4.88K combined Commons is several cuts, not one.
Seashell and Rust Gear are named so you can tick Index, not because they beat Sakura Spirit. Cut each Common name once, then stop filling Pocket with them when Uncommons are on the floor. Extra Commons are idle-Cutter filler after Level 2, when cut time is near instant.
Pocket starts tiny. Every slot you spend on a duplicate Common is a slot you did not spend on an Uncommon or a 0.1% Nova Prism. The mid-run rule is a three-line checklist, not a spreadsheet.

Session recaps say the Cutter turns rocks into cores, then shout immortal, cosmic, eternal, and similar tags on later floors. Official listing language is materials and rare rocks. This page does not overwrite the dated Room 1 / Petalstone table with those labels.
| Label | Where it shows up | Wiki rule |
|---|---|---|
| Materials | Official listing + Index toast | Use this word |
| Cores | Beginner recaps | Unverified synonym — same drops |
| Immortal / cosmic / eternal | Later-floor recaps | Unverified rarity — not an official row |
| Bought 0.1% rocks | Late-game spend sessions | Not a drop table; payout still TBA |
Late recaps shout extra names while buying every 0.1% rock. That is entertainment, not a Duality Works dump. Until a listing or in-game tooltip matches a name to rarity and sell, it stays off this table. Do not merge Cut a Gem ores either — different Place, different Cut a Rock rocks.
Cash from Sell buys throughput. Index from first cuts buys auras (official), with aura names TBA. You need both loops on the same pile: sell duplicates, log uniques.
| Output | Goes to | Next page |
|---|---|---|
| Duplicate materials | Sell stall → Cash | Upgrade order |
| First-cut materials | Index New material! / n/5 | Index guide |
| Uncommon Cash pile | Cutter 2 then Eyesight 3 | Beginner guide |
| Leftover Cash | Pocket 3, Iron Pickaxe | Pickaxes |
A blank Index slot on a Common is worth one cut, not a locked machine. If an Uncommon is cooking, dump a Common behind it only after Level 2 times are short. If Level 1 Uncommon is still 30 seconds, train Anvil or sell the previous bag instead of staring. Offline: machines keep cutting (official); park a queue.

| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Treating cores as a second currency | Listing word is materials |
| Adding immortal/cosmic as official rows | Keep Unverified; dated list stays Petalstone/Sakura/Seashell |
| Skipping all Commons forever | Cut each Common name once for Index |
| Filling Pocket with Commons next to Uncommon | Read the tag |
| Trusting $5.73K as live | Re-check Sell; figures are dated |
| Collect without Sell | E at the Sell stall |
| Buying 0.1% rocks before Cutter 2 | Throughput first |
| Importing Cut a Gem materials | Wrong Place — use 113742027864370 |
| Inventing Nova Prism yields | Rock rate 0.1%; yield TBA |
| Ignoring New material! toasts | Index |
